Soap Making Workshops

Soap was traditionally made at home for much of history, only being produced in factories for the last few hundred years; the process of saponification uses lye to turn fats and oils into soap.

This workshop will show you how to make your own soap from scratch, using only equipment from your own kitchen. The second half of the workshop will show you how to mill white castile soap, adding colour and scent to produce beautiful bars you can use at home or give as gifts.
