Description

Sunday 12 June 2022 at the Woolshed, Palliser Ridge Station, Wairarapa

Tunisian (also called Afghan) crochet is a single needle technique where stitches are cast on and cast off in row pairs to create lots of texture, adding thickness and ‘squishability’ to any blanket or garment.

In the workshop, you will learn how to cast on, cast off, make two basic styles of stitch and a combination fancy stitch; you will go home with your own Tunisian crochet needle, a skein of either Palliser ridge lambswool or our own handspun yarn of your choice, a printed pattern, and the beginnings of a whole new hobby. Learn the tips and tricks that will upgrade your skills using this form of crochet to produce beautiful items for your family and home.

You can choose your pattern from either a scarf or a cushion cover.
