Meet Marnie
Originally from the UK, Marnie Rutherford is a life-long crafter having learned the basics of knitting, crochet and patchworking at a tender age from her mum and nanna. This early introduction to the world of crafting led to a lifetime of exploring the art of making, in all its many forms.
From painting and drawing to spinning, weaving, and even brief forays into glass blowing and knife making the shiny attraction of a new craft is always there just ready to be grasped. But there are those crafts that will always be at the core of her repertoire – anything to do with wool.
Marnie lives on a smallholding in the Wairarapa region of New Zealand where she keeps sheep, chickens, a large garden and the occasional cat.
